The gas bottles provided to you by Geogas Pacific are always inspected and tested to ensure they are safe to use and free from damage. The cylinders are stamped with their last tested dates on their collar or neck. Do not refill out of date cylinders – return them to us and we will replace your gas bottle with one that is within test and safe to use. Always store your gas bottle in an upright position. When you get home, ensure they aren’t stored indoors and that they are kept away from any ignition sources. If you smell a leak of gas, check the following: Do not light any matches or lighters, and do not smoke. Close all connections and switch off appliances if it is safe to do so. Call your local Geogas Pacific support team for assistance. In life threatening situations, call your local emergency services. See below our Safety Data Sheets for your information. If you observe the color of your gas flame and have a blue tipped flame, it means that you have good combustion and that gases such as carbon monoxide aren’t being generated. However, if you see a yellow flame or there is a lot of soot or smoke, it is a sign that you are getting incomplete combustion and need to service your appliance.Gas bottle safety.
